Norms

In class we were talking about Norms and how we need to acknowledge these things or we could offend someone or their group. For example the Norms in Middle Eastern where you have to hold the persons hand. One I don't like holding hands with a guy, it's just awkward and I'm not really into holding another person hand that I don't know. who knows if he has washed his hands lately and where they have been. what I'm also trying to say is there could be germs on their hands and it gets onto us and we could get really sick. What if you were the type of person that just couldn't hold the persons hand, like you thought it was just creepy. How do you think the people in the middle east would react?

complex u

Well I wasn't in class to do this group activity but this sounds like an interesting topic. It's crazy how you can look at someone and they are completely different from what they look like. For example not many people know i'm 50% Japanese. This class activity is also saying you cant judge someone untill you get to know them and their backround. It's weird how the people you hang around with influence you so much. For example, I am part of a family,a team,a group of friends etc.. Theres always that one person your friends with and they also have a different group and you wouldn't think they belong to because they change who they are when their around you and when their around the other group. I think this is a cool activity cause you can learn new things about students.

da Bronxs

I think collogero is in a few groups. His main group growing up was his friends from the neighbor hood. Another group is Sonnys crew and the last one was his family. I think as collogero grew up he changed crews and started hanging with sonny. His master status is the Son because in two groups sonny and his father were taking care of him. This relates to me in a way because my family is Italian and my dad wants me to work hard and only wants the best for me.

spit

when Mr. Sal told a student to spit on a spoon I thought it was no big deal. But when Mr.Sal told the student to put it back in their mouth they didn't because it's just gross. you don't want something that was in your body that came out to come back into your body. Spitting is healthy but also can make us really sick. Sal asked the student if they would take it back in. If i was the kid that got asked to put it back in my mouth there would be no chance i would do it. It's like spitting it on the ground and licking it back up.
